We believe that identity is rooted in the knowledge of one's past, and that cultural heritage is a vital means of preserving this identity for future generations. The African Diaspora Festival Choir is a shining example of this belief, using the power of music to explore and celebrate the rich traditions, folklore, and cultures of Africa's diaspora.

It is universally acknowledged that all humanity descends from Africa. The African Diaspora has a complex and diverse history that spans thousands of years. From the prehistoric exodus of early humans from Africa to the forced displacements caused by the Indian Ocean and Atlantic trades, to the voluntary and forced movements of Africans and people of African descent in modern times, the diaspora has left an indelible mark on the world.

Through their repertoire of iconic Spiritual and Gospel songs and anthems, the African Diaspora Festival Choir commemorates significant episodes in the history of Africa's transatlantic diaspora, paying tribute to the struggles and triumphs of those who came before us. With a retrospective of 350 years of Sacred Music, Freedom, and Praise Songs, these performances are a testament to the enduring power of music and its ability to inspire, uplift, and connect people across generations and cultures.

It is our mission to preserve and chronicle the global influence of the choral traditions of the African Diaspora. Through our music, we aim to provide a powerful reminder of the richness and diversity of the human experience, and the importance of celebrating and preserving our shared cultural heritage for generations to come.
